Emergency Medicine Attending position – Houston based, Freestanding ED
We are hiring for full/part time emergency medicine attending physician positions in Houston, TX.
Type: Full time/part time emergency physicians with RoundTable Physicians Group
We are currently hiring Board Certified EM Physicians for our Freestanding Emergency Departments in Houston. Family Practice with significant EM experience or alternate boards will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Pay: $230 to $300 per hour, with all sites seeing over 30 patients in 24 hours having an average of at least $280 hourly. The base is $200 +RVU for day shifts and $230 + RVU for night shifts. Full time doctors doing 14 shifts per month can expect to make 500-600K+ annually.
Malpractice: Full coverage. (Tail coverage provided, no out-of-pocket malpractice costs.)
Setting: FSEDs associated with HCA Gulf Coast Hospitals, all specialties are available for admission or transfer. Each FSED’s home hospital takes the majority of the admissions and the Transfer Center manages all transfers and obtaining of beds if the home hospital does not have capability or capacity. Comprehensive specialty on-call list is available for outpatient referrals or any clinical questions. All centers have new state of the art CT scanners, (can do CT angiograms), and ultrasound available.
Shifts: 12 hours, with shift change at 6am and 6pm to avoid morning rush hour. (Shifts can be split and shared between physicians, with many 6 hour shifts available.) All scheduling is done on the ShiftAdmin app, making it easy to switch and trade shifts as well as request days off.
EMR: Meditech – very easy to use and perfect for the FSED setting, each provider has their own Dragon profile. Comprehensive notes can be done in minutes.
Leadership: Very supportive environment with each FSED having its own Medical Director, and we have support from a Regional Medical Director as well as our Chief Medical Officer. Group founders are Emergency Physicians. The physician group is in-network with all major insurance carriers. Coding is done by a third party and billing is done in-house, with feedback available on documentation opportunities.
Group Practice Model: In addition to the hourly pay for full time doctors, there is also group profit sharing; any doctor at 10 or more shifts per month qualifies for profit sharing.
CME: UpToDate individual accounts are provided with a link to log your CME. (You can expect 30-50 credits per year if you use UpToDate on clinical shifts.)
